What Is Builds?

Builds is a gameplay-focused addon for Nuclear Throne Together that allows players to place temporary wall structures during combat.

Hold the right mouse button, aim with your cursor, and construct walls directly in front of your character. Create cover, block enemy movement, protect teammates, build chokepoints, or completely reshape the flow of a fight.

Placed structures are real wall objects and automatically match the current biome's appearance, making them feel like a natural part of the level.

Every wall eventually decays and disappears, encouraging active use rather than permanent fortification.

Building System

Building consumes a limited stock of blocks.

Each placed wall costs one stock point. Stock regenerates after a short delay, creating a rhythm between building, fighting, and repositioning.

Players must decide whether to spend resources on immediate protection, area denial, or saving blocks for later encounters.

Placed walls cannot appear on top of players or enemies, preventing unfair or broken placements during combat.

Arena Mode

Builds includes an optional arena mode that can be enabled with the /bnone command.

When enabled, the next level generates a large empty combat arena surrounded by player-built walls. The arena is automatically cleared of level geometry while preserving compatible gameplay objects from other addons.

Arena mode also enables automatic stock regeneration, allowing players to experiment freely with large-scale construction and combat scenarios.

This mode is especially useful for:

• Practice sessions

Visual Feedback

Builds provides constant feedback while constructing.

The mod displays your current stock, cooldown information, active block count, and build progress directly through the HUD, making it easy to track available resources during combat.

Temporary structures also feature a destruction sequence before disappearing, giving players clear visual information about when walls are about to expire.
